Resources to Turn Your Dreams into Reality
You're not lazy, you're just tired. You spend so much time taking care of everyone, you forget to take care of yourself. With your dreams, you spend more time wishing about them than doing anything because you're so burnt out. When your energy is drained, it's harder for your brain to focus and problem solve.
Here's what to do: stop feeling guilty for not getting through your To-Do list. Instead, make self-care your priority. The more you do things that energize you, the more energy you'll have to turn your dreams into reality.
Listen to this the next time you feel stuck:
- Structure equals freedom. Creating habits and routines is the key to achieving your dreams without stressing yourself out. Start small. Don't say you'll start writing everyday for an hour. Instead create a tiny habit that will be EASY to accomplish -- like "I'll write three sentences every morning after I get dressed."
- Build your habit slowly. Once your tiny habit is as automatic as brushing your teeth, go ahead and up it to writing for 10 minutes everyday after you get dressed. Then every month add another 10 minutes to your habit.
- Stop saying "Yes!" to every request you get. Practice saying "No" without explaining yourself or feeling guilty. Play this game: for a month say "No" at least 3 times a day.
